This otherworldly panel receives its name from the ancient river god of the Peloponnese, Alpheus. The pearlescent resin is inspired by the eponymous river, the Alfeios, which disappears several times into the limestone Arcadian mountains and re-emerges after flowing some distance underground. The lustrous metal rivers running through are influenced by the myth of Alpheus, who transformed into a river for love, re-joining the waters of his beloved nymph Arethusa. Our in-house research & development team have been exploring material reactions between metals and pigments. Layers of metal and pigment are used, modelled on the Japanese lacquerware technique. Our craftsmen add layers, over time, and manipulate the resins during curing.

Our standard ‘RTI’ panels are ‘Ready-To-Install’ panels. These are made to order at a set standard size of 1200mm x 2400mm*
*dimensions are approximate and may differ either way by 50mm.
