We welcome visits to our workshop in Devizes. Contact us to arrange an appointment.

Are Watson & Gabb finishes waterproof?

The finish is waterproof. Edges and backs should be sealed in wet areas. Lacquer is recommended for water-prone settings.

Are the materials easy to cut?

Yes, with the correct tools. Refer to our ‘Cutting & Machining’ sheet for guidance.

How thick are the panels?

Thickness ranges from 5mm to 25mm depending on collection and substrate.

What is the weight of one panel?

Weight varies by panel type and substrate. Please contact our team for specifics.

How do I avoid seams?

We can help plan around seams based on your drawings. Custom mould-making may be an option.

Will the metal patinate?

Yes, naturally. Patination is part of the aesthetic. We can also pre-patinate panels on request.

What are the different lacquers you provide?

Nano Coating (water/oil repellent), Polyurethane (durable/resistant), and Class ‘O’ Fire Rated (clear fire retardant).

Are the surfaces easily damaged?

Surfaces are decorative and should be treated with care. Minor scratches can be refinished.

Are the panels fire rated?

Some materials used are fire rated. Speak to us about specific requirements.

Are the finishes suitable for table/counter tops?

Yes, but direct heat over 60°C can damage them. Use coasters or placemats.

Do you have specific storage instructions?

Store in dry, stable humidity (35–60%) conditions like those for timber products.

Are you sustainable?

Yes. Sustainability for us means longevity, material quality, and traceability. Learn more on our Green Agenda page.

Can you bend your panels?

Yes, bending is possible, but only with our ‘Organic Metal’ range when produced on our 1mm phenolic substrate. These panels offer some flexibility, allowing for gentle curves and certain shaped applications.

Our Blended & Poured ranges cannot be bent as standard, as they are rigid and designed to stay completely flat.

If your project involves curves, please get in touch and share your drawings. We’ll review them and confirm whether bending is suitable and achievable for your design
