Exploring the capabilities of the moulding process we wanted to see how much depth, texture and detail we could entertain. The nature of the chiselled ‘Mattock’ panel reveals an intrinsic and refined luxury. This process takes days; working panel by panel, all by hand, utilising numerous craftspeople and numerous tools, including the namesake; a Mattock. No single gouge is the same. Finished with a molten metal poured over the surface and cooled, the meticulousness of the process and the beauty of the final result really imparts this piece with gravitas.
